Bonjour Jolie Review: A Period Subscription Box

Bonjour Jolie: A Period Subscription Box

I’m not going to lie. When the people at Bonjour Jolie contacted me and asked me to review their box, I wasn’t exactly jumping up and down. A period subscription box? Yeah, OK. I was happy to do the review but wasn’t really expecting to like the box. I mean, who enjoys thinking about that time of the month?

Color me pleasantly surprised when the box arrived and it was STUFFED with tons of different products. It only goes to prove you shouldn’t judge a box by its category, because this box ended up being one of my favorites to open.

As I mentioned above, Bonjour Jolie is a period subscription box. Boxes cost $16 per month and shipping is an additional $5. Boxes ship to the U.S. and Canada, as well as military addresses.

Here’s what I received in my Bonjour Jolie Box:

Pads and Tampons: You get to choose the brands you would like to receive and the idea is that they send you enough products for the month. You also tell them the dates of your cycle so they try to plan the box to arrive right when you need it.

Advil! You can choose not to receive this, if you prefer.

Individually sized products of a few products. I was especially ecstatic to receive the Kiehl’s, since this is one of my favorite brands lately.

2 chicks with Chocolate 4 Piece Truffle Set: This chocolate was so delicious that I ate it immediately. It was a great addition to the box.

Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths: 3 individual packs, which are great to keep in your purse.

Touch Organics Teas: I love receiving new teas to try and they sent a nice assortment!

Pop Beauty Full Size Lip Stain Stay: This product was a complete surprise. It costs $16 normally, so just this lip product alone covered the cost of the box.

Not pictured: Moroccan Rose Soap Petals. These didn’t photograph well, so I left them out.

As I said above, Bonjour Jolie was definitely a pleasant surprise. I was expecting to receive some tampons, and they sent so much more. I whole heartedly recommend this box, especially if you tend to need a pick-me-up during that time of the month. It will definitely put a big smile on your face!

Disclosure: While I was provided with a box to review, all opinions expressed above are my own.

I think that the idea is ridiculous yet the product was good. What are they going to do to make it different each month?

I am thinking that they probably won’t alter the box all that much, and the idea is more convenience of not having to go to the store + a few fab treats? I honestly have no idea though.
