I am getting really behind on posting my subscription box reviews these days. I blame it on summer and life being a little crazier than usual with all of the traveling we’ve been doing. I’m not planning on leaving Chicago for the next 8 weeks or so though, so things should get back to normal around here! (And if they don’t my only excuse will be laziness!)
In a move that should surprise no one, Glossybox hit it out of the park (box?) last month. Seriously, the June Glossybox curated by Dallas Shaw was one of my absolute favorites! Two full size products were included and the 3 other deluxe samples were actually “deluxe”!
Glossybox costs $21 per month, which can be daunting for a box filled with beauty samples, but Glossybox has been sending some really great products this year and this is one of the boxes I most look forward to receiving each month.
Here’s what I received in my June Glossybox:
FULL SIZE SpaRitual Nail Polish in Shooting Star ($12): This color is so pretty and come September 1 I think it will constantly adorn my nails. (Personally I think it is a tad too dark for a summer polish.)
FULL SIZE Tarte Complexion Enhancing Lip Stick ($14.50): This might be one of my favorite finds ever from a monthly beauty box! I received the medium to tan complexion lipstick, which is perfect. The outer ring of the lipstick is neutral, and the colorful inner circle adds a touch of color to make your lips appear fuller. This lipstick isn’t overwhelmingly colorful, which I love. It’s moisturizing with just a hint of color. I’ll have to do a review once I figure out how to take a photo of my mouth.
So, after just two products we’ve received the cost of the Glossybox, plus some, and we still have 3 products to go! Score!
C.Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist ($8 for a full size bottle): This is the second dry oil mist I’ve received lately and I can’t wait to try them out.
Philip B. Katira Hair Mask ($20): While this isn’t a full size product, this 2 fl oz. travel size is selling for $20 at DermStore! I’m going to be trying this out asap. According to a description I found online this product is “exceptionally effective at filling in damaged spots, smoothing the cuticle, adding oil-free moisture and boosting elasticity and shine. Hair is left feeling and looking healthy, voluminous and radiant.”
Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries: While I’ve complained a bit about how some boxes tend to fall back on perfume samples, but this is the mother load. The Essential Luxuries contains 6 different scents, and I love receiving them in a set like this because it gives you an opportunity to smell all of them to see what you like best.
Finally, I consider this month’s box to be an “item.” It was designed by Dallas Shaw and it’s so cute that it has earned a place of honor on my desk!
All told the June Glossybox had a retail value of approximately $50, which means I definitely got my money’s worth! The best part is that all of the items they sent are products I can’t wait to use and try!
If whole heartedly recommend trying Glossybox if you enjoy having beauty samples sent to your door each month! Before this box, the March Glossybox was one of my favorites.
