Putting together each year’s list of travel gifts might be my favorite part of every gift guide I’ve put together. I love traveling, and have a weird obsession with purchasing new travel gadgets, so I love seeing what is out there each year. If anyone on your own shopping list enjoys hitting the road as much as possible, one of these travel gifts might just make his or her holiday.

Please click through for more details on all of these travel gifts!

Brass Luggage Tags
1. Brass Luggage TagsThe Stationery Studio • $50

In my opinion, unique luggage tags are an absolute must! They are the first line of defense against someone accidentally walking away with your suitcase instead of their own. These luggage tags, which can be engraved with one’s name and address and come with leather straps, are so luxe looking!

2. J Pillow Travel PillowAmazon • $29.95

This travel pillow has thought of everything! I mean, a chin support so your head doesn’t jerk up and down mid-nap? Amazing! The only problem i see with this pillow is that it will take up even more room in your carry-on, but I do love the design.

Travel Gifts: Swept Away by Wanderlust |'s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide
3. Swept Away by WanderlustAxel & Ash • $40

This is the most fashionable travel journal I have ever seen! It is filled with inspiring quotes, beautiful images that look like they came straight from Instagram, as well as fun writing prompts, list pages, and a bucket list!

4. Airplane Doodle PantsDoodle Pants • $25.99

For the first time I’m including a gift for the baby traveler in this list. I just couldn’t resist including my favorite pair of pants for my son and that I dress him in whenever we travel via airplane. Let me tell you: flight attendants love seeing babies in these airplane pants! I actually love these pants so much that I bought them twice. He outgrew the first pair so I replaced them with a size up. While I highly recommend Doodle Pants, purchasing the pants from their website is pretty pricey so be sure to keep an eye on Zulily. Doodle Pants appear on the site quite frequently and prices are about 50% lower.

Globe Ornament
5. Globe Ornament • Wild & Free Designs (Etsy) • Currently unavailable

Sometime over the course of pulling together the items for this gift guide, Wild & Free Designs either sold out of or stopped selling this ornament, which is a real bummer because it was my absolute favorite item in this year’s gift guide. I decided to still include it because I’m *hoping* that they bring it back if for no other reason than I’d really like one myself! If they don’t do so, Wild & Free Designs is still an excellent place to purchase gifts for travel lovers as they have an amazing selection of handmade wanderlust-inspired products.

6. Hydaway Bottle • $20 (coming soon)

The soon-to-be-released Hydaway Bottle was funded by a Kickstarter campaign that more than exceeded the original goal. The bottle folds down small enough so that it can fit in your pocket, and it features a straw for easy drinking. Pre-orders are currently being accepted and bottles will ship later this month.

Push Pin Travel Map
7. Push Pin Travel MapWayfaren (Handmade at Amazon) • $150

I could easily decorate my home in nothing but travel maps. I know that sounds absurd, but I love how unique each of them are! This particular travel map features an original map design in a reclaimed handcrafted cedar wood frame. It comes with hooks for mounting and 100 push pins. This map measures 20″ x 24″ but Wayfaren has other sizes available, as well as a world map.

8. Primula Coffee Brew Buddy Single Cup Coffee MakerAmazon • $4.86

I’ve had a lot of terrible hotel coffee in my day, and the answer to that might just be this mini coffee maker! Carry along your own ground coffee, place this contraption over your cup, pour in some hot water, and have fresh *delicious* coffee in a matter of minutes. This is small enough that it won’t take up any room in your suitcase or carry-on, though you will have to take a moment to clean the filter between uses.

The Soot Electropack 2
9. The Soot Electropack 2Soot • $249

This backpack is pricey, but I’m going to go out on a limb and call it a must-have for serious travelers. First of all, this backpack is actually a two-in-one! The bottom portion zippers off of the top portion so you have a stand-alone mini messenger bag. The “commuter” backpack features a built-in zippered charging pouch, laptop sleeve, tablet pouch and 6 utility pockets. For that charging pouch you can purchase the Soot 10,000 MAH Battery ($49), which will keep all of your mobile devices charged when no power is available.

10. Islander BlanketEagle Nest Outfitters • $49.95

This lightweight blanket is made of parachute nylon and folds into itself for easy storage. What really makes this blanket awesome is that it comes with stakes and stake loops so that you can place this blanket on the beach or on the grass without fear that it will blow away. It’s the perfect blanket to carry along wherever your travels may take you!

Travel Gifts: MunchPak
11. MunchPak • Price Varies

I recently wrote a MunchPak review and I absolutely loved this food subscription box. Featuring an assortment of international snacks, it would be the perfect gift for the travel lover who is currently in-between trips.

12. Travelon Anti-Theft Cross-Body Bucket BagAmazon • $39.99

When they were making this bag they thought of everything to make it as travel-friendly as possible! This bag is slash-proof and the crossbody strap is cut-proof. It has RFID-blocking card slots. It has two external compartments, as well as pockets for a water bottle and an umbrella. It has a removable LED light. It also has a flat bottom, which makes it easy to set down when necessary. Seriously – what can’t this bag do?!
