BeautyBox5 August 2013 Unboxing

The funniest thing has been happening. I have been less enthralled with some of the monthly beauty boxes lately, but my enjoyment of Beauty Box 5 continues to increase. They are slowly but surely making themselves a force to be reckoned with. While one of my major complaints with Birchbox is that they’ve pretty much stopped sending out full-size products, Beauty Box 5 is sending out more full size products than ever.

Beauty Box 5 costs $12 per month, and each month you will receive 5 deluxe beauty samples, and oftentimes at least one of those products will be full-size.

Here’s what I received in this month’s box:

Nubar Nail Lacquer and Swissco Nail File

Nubar Nail Lacquer & Swissco Nail File: While the nail polish isn’t full-size, it’s certainly large enough to get a couple of uses out of it. The color I received “Hot Pink” is a fun neon shade that isn’t too over the top at all. I am IN LOVE with the nail file. The most recent FabBox I sent out included a glitter nail file and I have been wanting one for myself.

Bask Heavenly Silk Daily Skin Lotion

Bask Heavenly Silk Daily Skin Lotion: I’m not familiar with this brand and haven’t yet gotten around to trying it, but according to the packaging the lotion is filled with vitamins, plant extracts, and antioxidants.

H20 Plus Aquafirm + Micro-Collagen Moisturizer

H20+ Aquafirm + Micro-Collagen Moisturizer: I know that sometimes I complain about seeing the same brands pop up month after month, but H20+ is a brand I’ll never get tired of seeing. It’s one of my favorites! This moisturizer can be used day and night to promote collagen production and fight fine lines.

Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow

Be a Bombshell Birthday Suit Eyeshadow: Full-size product alert! I’m really excited that I received this eyeshadow (and that it’s a normal color). I’ll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this highly pigmented shadow! This retails for $14.

Technically, this month’s Beauty Box 5 contained 2 full size products, which is awesome. Also awesome is that for the first time in a long time I feel like I will actually use every item that was included in the box!

I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth, considering the eye shadow alone paid for the cost of the subscription.

Overall, I am very happy with this box and looking forward to what they send in September!
