I’m not going to lie. I’m still a little giddy about learning that GlossyBox is now a full-size subscription box. When I went to open my September Beauty Box 5, which, yes, had been sitting on my dresser for a week or two, I had to temper my expectations down a bit. I still love getting samples, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not quite as exciting as opening a box of full-size products, you know?
That said, the Sepetember Beauty Box 5 was pretty awesome and kind of contained 3 full-size products! I say kind of, because can we count a tube of lip balm as a full-size product? If so, then it wasn’t kind of 3 full-size products it was definitely 3 full-size products.
Here’s what I received in my September Beauty Box 5:
Bella Pierre Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in Celebration ($14.99) – As a subscription to Beauty Box 5 costs just $12, we made up the price of the box with this one product! Bella Pierre products are 100% hypoallergenic and good for even the most sensitive skins. This particular shimmer powder is made from 100% mica. The color is really pretty and fairly natural, but didn’t photograph well.
Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads ($6.99 for 50) – When I first inspected this package I did a bit of a double take because it appeared that the pads had dried up. That’s not the case, however. These makeup remover pads appear to be great for travel because they are water activated, which means you don’t actually have to worry about them drying out at all!
Body Drench Lip Drench ($1.99) – Apparently this lip balm should last up to eight hours with just one application!
Skiin Soothing & Smoothing Eye Cream – You know, I just wrote a review of the Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler, and it has me a little scared to try this brand again. I just really wasn’t impressed. That said, this is a fairly generous sample of eye cream.
Fly Ties ($7.95) – With all of the subscription boxes that have sent me hair ties recently I should start my own hair tie resale business! Not that I’m complaining as I actually do use them, I’ve just been seeing a lot of them lately! I really like the colors in this pack from Fine Featherheads!
If I added up the retail value of only the full-size items included in this box, this box has a value of nearly $25! Considering a subscription to Beauty Box 5 costs $12 (including shipping), that’s a pretty good deal.
