Skiin Instant Skin Tightener and Line Filler

Sometimes I get a product that I just don’t understand, and this is one of those times. In the interest of fairness, perhaps this product is meant for someone with more wrinkles than I currently have. At this point I have one crease across my forehead that I’m worrying about, and perhaps that’s just too far gone to work with a line filler.

According to the description of Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler ($39.95), this product is a natural alternative for cosmetic surgery! The key benefits of the product include:

  • Reduces the depth of wrinkles around the eyes
  • Instantly tightens and lifts the skin
  • Makes the skin appear smoother and more uniform

I tried this product a couple of times and what stood out to me is that once you put it on it needs 5 minutes to dry. I’m always getting ready in a hurry, so this isn’t really time efficient. Once I applied the product it left a weird white film on my face and made my moisturizer run as well. It was really weird! I only applied this across my forehead, where that one stubborn wrinkle resides and I did not notice that Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler had any sort of effect. The wrinkle looked the same as always.

I cannot say that I noticed any “tightening” on my face, though perhaps if I had applied the product to other parts of my face this might have happened.

Personally, I’m going to skip the Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler. I can get better results from using a regular face primer so I’ll probably stick with that and give this a try again when I have more “fine lines” to see if it works better.

Samples of Skiin Soothing and Smoothing Eye Cream ($49.95) and Instant Skin Tightener and Line Filler ($39.95) will be included in the September Beauty Box 5. Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty sample box that costs $12 per month. Even though this isn’t my favorite product, I’m excited that Beauty Box 5 is branching out and sending new products. While this product didn’t really work for me, it may work for someone else.

If you’re interested in trying out the Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler, or any other Skiin product, you can currently get 30% off any product from the Skiin Shop with code “BOX5”. This offer is valid through October 5, 2013.
