coco rocha fancy box - july 2013

I don’t know what came over me, but a couple of weeks ago I decided that I really needed to check out the Coco Rocha Fancy Box. It’s not that I’m a huge Coco Rocha fan (in fact, I had to look her up), but more that I wanted to completely wipe away the bad feelings I’ve had about the Fancy Box since receiving the Pink Fancy Box. I love Pink and had such high hopes for this box that perhaps no matter what was sent I was going to be disappointed. So I took the opposite approach with the Coco Rocha Fancy Box. Considering I knew very little about her or her style, anything I received would be a surprise (and hopefully not an unpleasant one).

Like the Pink Fancy Box, the Coco Rocha Fancy Box costs $39 + shipping, so it’s definitely a bit on the pricier side.

Opening up the Coco Rocha Fancy Box was such a pleasant surprise. It was filled with fantastic items, all of which I”ll use.

Here’s what I received:

Urban Beatz Rocked Headphones

Urban Beatz Rocked Headphones ($49.99): These headphones alone covered the cost of the Fancy Box! Truthfully, headphones like this aren’t something I’d have ever spent money on for myself, but I’m happy to have them! I love the combination of the red and black, and that they’re studded. Who knew headphones could be so stylish?

Coco Rocha Fancy Box Sunglasses

Rose Wayfarers ($15): These are super cute and I’m happy to add them to my growing collection of wayfarers.

Coco Rocha Elle Mexico

Autographed Edition of Elle Mexico: What I didn’t like about the Pink Fancy Box is that it didn’t feel like Pink was “present” in the box. It just felt like a random box of crap. I love that this box includes an autographed magazine cover because it feels like Coco Rocha actually put some thought into this box and gave a little piece of herself. Plus, I love international magazines and I’ve never had one from Mexico before!

Japonesque Safari Chic Brush Set

Japonesque Safari Chic Brush Set ($19.99): The cost of these brushes seems to vary quite a bit, but I found them at Amazon for $19.99, so I’m going with that price. This is another item that I never would have thought to purchase for myself but that I love. The leopard print on these brushes is amazing! A model sending out makeup brushes makes perfect sense.

The value of the items I received in the Coco Rocha Fancy Box totals at least $80, which is pretty good. Even better is the fact that I will actually use and enjoy all of these items. (All of the items I received in the Pink Fancy Box were donated to Goodwill.) I’d say this box is comparable to the PopSugar Must Have Box in that it’s a subscription box for women containing full-size items and the prices are pretty similar.

I probably won’t become a monthly subscriber to this box, but I may pick up boxes here and there. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Coco Rocha Fancy Box!
