2. Hart of Dixie
3. Shark Tank
I only discovered Shark Tank this season and I am obsessed! This is one of my favorite ways to discover new products, and I feel like each week it gives me a crash course in business.
I was excited to watch this week’s episode and see my blogging world collide with my tv watching world when Misto Box, a subscription box for coffee lovers, was featured on the show!
I can’t find just a clip of the people behind Misto Box on Shark Tank, but you can watch the entire episode here if you so wish. Misto Box is the first business featured in the episode.
Spoiler Alert: The founders of Misto Box DO get their investment from the sharks, which will allow them to expand their operations. Up until they appeared on the show, the founders of the box were doing everything themselves in an apartment. It was an interesting behind-the-scenes look at how at least one subscription box company works, and I’m assuming others have similar grassroots beginnings.
If you’re interested in checking out Misto Box and receiving a box of artisan coffee, Misto Box is currently offering your first box for just $5. After the first box the price of the subscription goes up to $15 per month. Each month you will receive a selection of four 1.75 oz. whole bean coffee samples from roasters around the world. Alternatively, there is a more expensive option. For $30 each month you can receive 4 3.5 oz. bags of coffee (your first box will cost $10).
