Another month, another opportunity to check out what Beauty Box 5 has sent along!

Beauty-Box-5-Fake-Eyelashes

The first thing I pulled out of the box was a set of Natural False Eyelashes by a Chinese company called HollyRen. I’m going to consider this a complete throw away item. Although the instructions for the eyelashes say to put adhesive on your eye to make them stick, these lashes didn’t even come with adhesive. Not good.

Beauty-Box-5-Blinc-Mascara

I didn’t do a June review, but last month Beauty Box 5 sent out a sample of blinc eyeliner. This month they sent blinc mascara. This is a product I’m actually really excited about. blinc mascara is a little different than normal mascaras in that when the product coats your lashes it creates a tube around your lash, meaning that you could pull the tube right off your lash! Better yet, when you apply makeup remover you’ll likely see little tubes coming off. (That’s the gentler approach.) I’m excited to try this product!

Beauty-Box-5-Bodyography

The next product I received is Bodyography Clear Foundation Primer. I love trying out new foundation primers. I sometimes wear them even if I’m not wearing any foundation or concealer because they make my skin feel so smooth. According to the Bodyograph website, this product retails for $30 and “fills in fine lines and wrinkles, prevents collagen breakdown and gives the skin a silky smooth, long lasting, flawless base.” This is a really generous sample size that will likely last me quite a while!

Beauty-Box-5-Foot-Sponge

Don’t laugh at me when I tell you that I was actually really excited to receive the Pedi-Scrub Foot Buffer from Spongeables. I’ve seen products like this at ULTA many times, but I would never buy one for myself because one sponge alone usually retails for abut $6. That certainly won’t break the bank, but seemed like a lot to pay for a foot sponge. Needless to say I’m excited to finally try one.

A Beauty Box 5 subscription costs $12 per month, and for that you will receive 4-5 beauty samples each month. Sometimes I find Beauty Box 5 a little hit or miss, but this month I’m generally happy with what I received. I could have done without the fake eyelashes, but I’m sure others will be thrilled to have received them!
