Imagine a box of clothes and accessories, hand-picked for you by a stylist who shopped at stores such as Anthropologie, Nordstrom and Shopbop, arrived on your doorstep. You could wear them as long as you wanted, then shove them back in a box for someone to clean or keep the items at a sweet discount if you couldn’t bear to part with them. You then get a new box of similarly gorgeous clothes just a few days later.
Yep, my fashion dreams have come true- welcome to Le Tote.
Signing Up for Le Tote
When you sign up for Le Tote, you must fill out a style profile that includes body shape, measurements, height, birth date and more. Then you create a virtual closet with items that appeal to you, which is an extremely painless process. You are basically selecting items that you would like to wear, as well as telling the stylists more about your personal style. Each item you add to your closet is then signified with a little heart next to it so you remember what you picked while browsing. You can go back and add more items to your closet at any time. I drop in a few times a week just to “window shop” and check out all the recently added items.
Clothing items include dresses, tops, cardigans, jackets, sweaters, skirts and pants. Accessories include necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and scarves. Le Tote automatically populates your size in all clothes according to your size profile. What I love is that they tell you the retail price of the items, then list the Members Price (aka the price you would pay if you kept the item) next to it.
What I Received from Le Tote – Box 1
My first box I received from Le Tote was a pleasant surprise of classy, amped up basics. Two of the five items I received were in my virtual closet, and all were in line with my personal style. The box included two shirts, a dress, a bracelet, a necklace, a black Le Tote Logo’d bag to keep, a “How To” brochure, a tape measure (so smart!) and a pre-paid 2 Day Priority USPS Return Envelope.
I have a difficult time finding clothes to fit my body type, so I was incredibly impressed that all of the items fit.
The gold crown necklace looked fabulous until I put it on- I couldn’t get it to lay right. However, I loved the fact that I didn’t have to pay return shipping or commit to it so back it went!
I then went into my account and rated each piece. I didn’t pay extra to keep any items from this box. Although the styles were great, they weren’t exactly in season for the soon-to-be-snow-covered Midwest.
What I Received from Le Tote – Box 2
My second box was even better- I received one dress, two sweaters, a necklace and a bracelet. Three out of six items were picks from my virtual closet, and again, all were generally my style. I absolutely loved bringing the box into my closet each time and integrating the pieces into my wardrobe.
I wasn’t 100% sure about the open cardigan. That was the only item that I wasn’t thrilled about, but after I added a belt and paired it with a basic black fit and flare dress, it totally worked!
The bracelet paired well with my collection of gold arm candy and the necklace I just HAD to keep. Had to. If you wear an item that you receive compliments on every single time, you know it needs to stay in your rotation.
The dress was surprisingly comfortable and thick- a perfect winter transition piece when paired with opaque tights and a sweater or blazer.
I received this box right before my trip to Napa and it was a great way to have new clothes for vacation without spending a fortune!
