Yesterday afternoon I cam home from work and found the September PopSugar Must Have box at my door, so I stopped whatever I had planned and immediately opened the box.

Yes, the PopSugar Must Have Box is one of the most expensive subscription boxes on the market at $35 per month, but every time I get a box I feel like it’s my birthday. Each item included in the September box brought a smile to my face.

September PopSugar Must Have Box

Here’s what was in my September PopSugar Must Have Box:

  1. Brokedown Silver Marble Fringe Scarf – $84 retail value
  2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower – $8.40 retail value
  3. Two movie tickets to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower – $24 Fandango voucher
  4. Rifle Paper Co.’s Lined Notepad – $8 retail value
  5. Benefit Cabana Glam – $36 retail value (currently on sale for $18.99)
  6. Becky’s Blissful Bakery Caramels sample
  7. Yes to Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Towelettes – travel size packet
  8. Kitsch Hair Ties – set of 4
  9. Tracie Martyn Skin Care Line – $25 gift certificate
  10. Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips – these were delicious
  11. Must Have Pouch – coin purse
  12. Cookie from Pop-Up Pantry

I have nothing bad to say about PopSugar Must Have, mainly because I enjoy the products so much and it is easy to see that I’m getting a great value for the money I’m paying. At this point, if I could choose just one subscription box to receive it would be this one. It’s not particularly frugal, but I budget for the box by cutting out unnecessary purchases as much as possible. I’m fairly certain I can spend $35 just by looking at Target, so staying out of that store has helped immensely.

  1. BEWARE SUPER STRICT NO “RETURN” policy on your initial 1, 3, 6, or 12 month order (you have to read those tiny “terms of service” that you check!) on initial order and unhelpful customer service. I was super excited to give this as a gift for my sister, but was (my fault) mistaken when I saw the guaranteed Dec 24 delivery advertised on the order page for men’s deluxe boxes and not the Jan delivery date for everything else. Literally minutes, possibly seconds, after ordering and realizing my mistake on my Nov order, I got in touch with PopSugar and asked if it was possible to cancel my gift since it wouldn’t be timely. No go. I was told that I should have read the agreement box I checked. No cancellation within 24 hours or even minutes. I’m very glad I did not get the 3-month subscription I had been thinking about for her. Just be careful! I was very disappointed with my interactions with PopSugar so far. When that box that I don’t need or want comes in a couple of months, I’ll let you know how it is!
