It’s rare that I have any subscription boxes to review at the beginning of the month, so I’m happy that Wantable sent the December box toward the beginning of the month! Also, the products they sent out will combine to create one gorgeous holiday look, so perhaps why the box is so early. Either way, I’m certainly not complaining!
Here’s what I received in my December Wantable Box:
Michael Marcus Lipstick in Debbie ($24) – I haven’t had a chance to try this yet but it’s an absolutely gorgeous shade of red! While I praised the November Wantable box for sending more neutral lip products I am really happy they sent the red this month. It’s a good shade for the holidays!
Manna Kadar Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion ($29) – Shimmer lotions like this one, that are supposed to provide you with a bit of an iridescent glow, are something I enjoy buying and occasionally using. That said, I think I need to watch a YouTube video on best practices. As infrequently as I use products like this, Wantable sent me a lifetime supply with this one bottle!
Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil in Moody Melody ($12) – I can’t complain about a new eyeliner! I haven’t tried anything from the Starlooks brand either. My only complaint, which I can’t blame on Wantable, is that the lid to the liner is just a smidge too big so it keeps falling off.
Golden Rose Sexy Black Mascara ($12.99) – I’m not familiar with the Golden Rose brand, but I’m intrigued by this mascara with the abnormally shaped applicator. I love trying out new mascara brands! Look for a review soon.
Skiin Soothing & Smoothing Eye Cream – I’m pretty sure Wantable was trolling me by throwing in a small Skiin sample. I reviewed a Skiin product a few months ago and didn’t like it (at all), and last month Wantable threw in a small Skiin sample. This product is supposed to reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines.
Overall it was a pretty good month for Wantable, and the retail value of my box is $77.99! The only thing I’m curious about is that Wantable brands itself on being a full-size beauty subscription box that sends out five products each month. This is the second month in a row where instead of five full-size products I have receive four full-size products and a sample. It’s not a huge deal since the full-size products more than cover the cost of the box, but it’s something I’m going to watch next month.
Wantable costs $36 per month with a monthly subscription, or $40 if you just want to try one box. In addition to a monthly makeup box, Wantable also offers a monthly jewelry box and a monthly lingerie box.
