You guys. I cannot believe today is February 11 and I’m able to post this PopSugar Must Have Review. I feel like I’m always the last person in the entire country to receive her box, so the earliness of this post is nothing short of amazing!

The contents of my box were in rough shape, as there was lots of extra room in the box for items to bang against one another and whatnot. It’s not a big deal, but the argan serum box below is looking particularly bad and that’s why.

Here’s what I received in my February PopSugar Must Have Box:

Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts

Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts (approx. $6.25) – I’d never heard of Sugarwish before, but it’s an online candy store where you can send candy gifts to your loved ones. (Or liked ones, I suppose – no need to love someone to send them candy.) The packaging is amazing, and I love the idea of this site. Gifts start at $25 for one pound of candy (includes shipping, taxes, and fees), and goes up from there. As you can imagine, I’ve already begun enjoying my quarter pound of red cinnamon hearts!

Gorjana Jewelry Roll

Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll ($45) + $25 Gorjana Gift Card – I do love Gorjana! I don’t tend to travel with much jewelry, but this jewelry roll will certainly come in handy just in case, and it’s actually one travel accessory that I didn’t own already!

K Hall Designs Peony Travel Candle

K Hall Designs Peony Travel Candle ($11) – My box wasn’t packed super tightly and the lid of this candle came off in the box, so little bits of wax covered everything in the box! That isn’t ideal, but on the other hand everything smelled amazing. Apparently this tiny candle will burn for 20 hours!

NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty Nail Polish

NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty Nail Polish ($16) – This is a nice burgundy color that I’ll certainly use, but seems a little bizarre as we head into spring as the color is really dark and perhaps better suited for fall/winter than late-ish winter/spring.

Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum

Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum ($23) – I’ve heard of using argan oil on one’s hair and have been doing it a bit myself, but this is the first time I’ve seen argan oil for one’s face! According to the description, this product will help make your skin super soft and smooth.

Modelco Lip Pops Duo

ModelCo Lip Pops Duo – ModelCo doesn’t sell this product individually, so I’m not sure about the price. Despite the poor photography above (I felt confident I could take great photos with my phone – I was obviously mistaken), I really like this lip duo. The color is neutral and perfect. One end is a lipstick and the other is a lip gloss, and I love this combination because I will forever and always love a glossy lip with just a little bit of color. For me, this duo is perfect!

Now, I don’t mean to be a downer, but I really wish these subscription boxes would find a new brand to love on. No shade to ModelCo, but I feel like I’ve received their entire product line via the various subscription boxes over the past few months! Let’s find something new, box gods.

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash (approx. $4) – This is an “extra,” and really couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I’m just about out of body wash!

After typing this up I’m a bit surprised to realize that the retail value of this box is approximately $150. I thought it was actually going to be quite a bit lower. Honestly, this is another box that I liked and will use all of the products, but I wasn’t really “wowed” by anything. Truthfully, I was most excited about the candy from Sugarwish, but that’s because I thought the packaging was really fantastic! (And, if I’m being really honest, part of my excitement is over the script font they’ve used for their logo!)

I still felt like this box contained an assortment of birthday gifts but they just weren’t as awesome as usual. No big deal though – every box has down months.

The PopSugar Must Have Box costs $39.95 per month, which makes it one of the most expensive subscription boxes on the market. However, they send out a great assortment of products each month and I’ve always found the value of the box to be way higher than the cost of the box.

  1. I got my box this month and also felt underwhelmed but I love this box generally so it always makes me happy. I don’t wear jewelry so at first I was going to give away the jewelry roll until I realized that it’s perfect for organizing the myriad of chargers I keep in my handbag (iphone, Fitbit, external battery etc.). It made the roll become the most exciting part of the box for me. I’m not crazy about the serum so I’ll be using it on my neck and chest instead of face for now.
