Donate $1 and Get Free Frosty’s for a Year

Wendy's Frosty Key Chain

Wendy’s is bringing back one of my favorite promotions and it’s for a good cause!

You can currently purchase a Frosty Key Tag at participating Wendy’s for $1. Once you have the key tag you will receive a free Jr. Frosty with any purchase through December 31, 2015. Depending on how often you stop by Wendy’s and enjoy a Frosty, that can amount to some major savings! I rarely go to Wendy’s, but when I do I almost always order the same thing: a Frosty and an order of fries. The Frosty, of course, becomes the “dip” for the fries. Delish!

90 cents of the $1 purchase price will be donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which works to find forever families for those in foster care.

You can find more information about this promotion on the Wendy’s website.

Amazon Prime Members: Get Two Free January Kindle First Books!

In the mayhem of the end of the year I forgot to post the December Kindle First selections. My apologies … I’m not even sure I looked at them! That said, it’s a new month and there are four new books from which to choose!

Kindle First allows Amazon Prime members to download one free pre-release Kindle book per month, although this month there’s a note that Prime members can download TWO free books! If you’re ready to get a jump start on your 2015 reading goals, this is a great way to do so for free!

Here are the January Kindle First Books:

Everything Burns

Everything Burns by Vincent Zandri – When Reece Johnston was a boy, a fire destroyed his home, killing his mother and brothers while leaving him scarred for life. It also kindled something dark inside him: an irresistible attraction to flames in all their terrifying, tantalizing power. But after two failed arson attempts—and two trips to the mental ward—he was finally able to put down the matches and pick up the pieces.

With a career as a bestselling crime writer going strong, Reece is working to fix his broken marriage to Lisa and be there for their preteen daughter, Anna. He’s not just dealing with his own demons; there’s a world of deadly hurt bearing down on him in the form of the jealous rival he’s bested in literature and love, who’s determined to see Reece crash…and burn. But a guy like Reece knows how to take the heat. And thanks to his lifelong friendship with fire, he also knows how to bring it.

Flirting with Felicity

Flirting with Felicity by Gerri Russell – Felicity Wright never expected to inherit the hotel where she works as head chef. But now, she’ll do anything to keep the Bancroft Hotel operating—even if that means mixing it up with the late owner’s handsome nephew, Blake Bancroft. He’s here to challenge her unexpected inheritance of the Bancroft Hotel, and there’s no way either of them are walking away without a fight.

When his uncle wills away his family’s oldest property, Blake Bancroft cooks up a plan to get it back. To check out his competition, he’ll need to check in. Too bad his first encounter with Felicity proves to be anything but smooth. As their battle over ownership begins, things begin to heat up between them—and not just in the kitchen. Their attraction may be a recipe for disaster. Yet with the right ingredients, it could turn into a recipe for love…
