What I Received in my March Glossybox

I still have a bunch of *new to me* subscription boxes as well as a few regulars to review from March, which unfortunately got delayed by my trip to Florida. So please don’t be confused when the April reviews start intersecting with the March ones. I had hoped to get the March reviews done before I left, but that just wasn’t in the cards.

Here’s a quick rundown of what I received in my March Glossybox. It was definitely a good month for this beauty box – I was pretty excited about each new item that I pulled out of the box! And – spoiler alert – the box contained 3 full size products, which is always awesome!

Here’s what I received in my box:

Alex and Ani Scent 7 Soap Bar ($14) – Full Size Item! Alright, so I’m less excited about a full-size bar of soap than I am about other full-size products, but this soap smells surprisingly good. I’m not going to tell you that I’ll use it because I likely won’t (I can’t tell you the last time I used bar soap), but this is easily re-gifted.

Alex and Ani Charm Bangle ($28) – Full size item! This is considered a “bonus” item, but I’m still considering it part of the box. This bracelet is made for stacking with others!

Bamboo Volume Plumping Strand Expand - This “thickening lotion” allegedly strengthens, moisturizes, and adds volume to hair. I don’t need my hair to be any thicker, but I’m sure I’ll be able to find someone to take this off my hands!

What I Received in My January Glossybox

Glossybox January 2014

I don’t normally take a photo of everything that comes in the various boxes I receive, but I had to show you all how packed the Glossybox was this month! There were so many items to go through this month, and all of them were generously sized!

Here’s what I received in my January Glossybox:

Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray

Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray – Normally I love my natural curls, but whenever I receive a product like this I wish they my hair was straighter so that I could use it. Alas, sea salt texturising spray does nothing for my hair, but this is still a generous sample that I’m sure I’ll have no problem pawning off on a friend!

The Original Beautyblender

The Original Beautyblender – I believe the Beautyblender is full size, though the blendercleanser is a sample. Dory once wrote a Beautyblender review, which helps flawlessly apply foundation and other makeup. I’ve received a few Beautyblenders in various subscription boxes over the years, but I’m a little embarrassed to admit I’ve never tried one yet!

Special: Get the Glossybox Gold Box for $30

Glossybox Gold Box

Somehow, amidst the craziness of the last few weeks, I missed the special holiday box from Glossybox. All is not lost though, because the Glossybox Gold Box is still available AND now you can get it for less!

The Glossybox Gold Box originally sold for $50, but right now you can grab it for just $30. (I’d hurry on this one – quantities are extremely limited at this point.)

Glossybox Coupon: Use code “GOLD30″ to receive the Glossybox Gold Box for $30, instead of the advertised $50!

I assume the limited edition box will come packed with the items shown above. According to the details of the box you will receive 7 luxurious beauty products that have a retail value of $150. $150 for $30 is pretty darn good!

This would be an easy gift for a beauty-loving friend or family member!

Glossybox has really sent some great boxes recently. The October Glossybox was my favorite that I have received, and the November Glossybox was great as well. A couple of months ago the box contained only full-size items! Over the past six months I think Glossybox has become the best beauty subscription box on the market. It’s definitely one of the priciest, but they do a great job of sending unique products that you won’t find in any of the other subscription boxes.

If you’re on the fence I recommend taking advantage of this Glossybox coupon to get a box for less to see if it is for you!

Glossybox Review – November 2013

I didn’t really know what to make of my November Glossybox when it first arrived. I’d never seen any of the products that were included before! However, as I’ve had time to read about the products and figure out how to use them (!) they have grown on me. Though it doesn’t appear to be so at first sight (at least I don’t think so), this is actually a pretty high-value box. The theme of this month’s Glossybox is “Holiday Romance.”

Here’s what I received in my November Glossybox:

Emite Eye Shadow in Dams

Emite Eye Shadow in Dams ($27) – Full Size! I frequently use black eye shadow as an eye liner, but if not for that I wouldn’t really know what to do with this very opaque black eye shadow! As it is, I can’t wait to try this as a liner. I can’t apply black eyeshadow to myself without appearing like I’m going Goth. (I have no idea why my skin looks so jaundiced in the image above. Too much time spent at the computer?)

Byrdie Glossybox Review: As Awesome As Promised

Byrdie Glossybox Review

I received my October Glossybox yesterday and I couldn’t wait to open it up. This was the highly-touted and oft mentioned Byrdie Glossybox and I tore into the box as soon as it arrived on my door step. (Byrdie is the new beauty-focused website from the creators of Who What Wear.)

When there’s a lot of hype about something it can often lead to disappointment, but that couldn’t be further from the truth with this box. It was awesome.

The only thing I’m a little confused about is I thought GlossyBox had switched to being a full-size beauty box, but there were two “sample” sized product in this box. It’s not really a big deal because the value of the box is way higher than the $21 subscription price, but it gave me a moment of pause. Apparently GlossyBox isn’t a full-size beauty box? I’m not really sure.

Regardless, there’s no denying that the Byrdie Glossybox is awesome and I LOVE this box!

Here’s what I received in the Byrdie Glossybox:

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara ($23) – GlossyBox sent out a preview email of what to expect in the Byrdie GlossyBox a few weeks ago, so I knew this was coming. Still – it’s pretty awesome to receive a full-size mascara, especially when it’s one I haven’t tried before!

Bonus: With just this one item we’ve covered the cost of the box!
