I’ll try to mention the Glossybox Daily Deal each day. Should you subscribe during this promo period you will receive the Harper’s Bazaar Glossybox, which I reviewed last week. It’s a pretty fabulous box!

Glossybox is usually one of the last subscription boxes to show up on my doorstep each month, so I was really surprised to see that it had arrived yesterday! I just shared the sneak peek for the Harper’s Bazaar Glossybox, but now I get to share what I actually received. I usually love the Glossybox collaboration boxes and this box was no different!
Here’s what I received in the Harper’s Bazaar Glossybox:
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Metallic in Authentic ($18) – Full Size Product! I am really excited to have received this particular Lip Tar! I have another OCC Lip Tar but it’s such a bright shade of pink that it’s not really wearable on a regular basis. I do think I’ll get plenty of use out of this particular color though as it is fairly neutral! While the container isn’t huge, such little product is needed that these things last forever.
Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara – They’re Real Mascara from Benefit is one of my favorites, although I’ve never had a full-size tube of it! This might be the third deluxe sample I’ve received in a subscription box, but you won’t find me complaining about this or any other mascara sample! What I really love about this mascara is that it has a mini round brush at the end of the applicator that helps you apply mascara in hard-to-reach areas.
While the contents of each month’s Glossybox is usually a secret, the past couple of months Glossybox has been sending out sneak peeks of a couple of the products that would be included. For the upcoming September Glossybox, however, Glossybox just sent out a list of ALL of the products that will be included. (With a small caveat that there will be two different boxes so a couple of items could be different than what’s listed below.)
The September Glossybox is a collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar that will feature the following items:
Vichy Liftactiv Nuit
Optimize skin’s natural nighttime repair mechanisms with this evening moisturizer, which stars anti-aging plant sugar extract, rhamnose, and continuous-release vitamin C. Promising to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and boost skin’s firmness, this cream also offers 24 hours of hydration and improved skin tone.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Lip Tar: Metallic in Authentic
Infused with state of the art high-resolution metallic pigments, the unparalleled opacity of Lip Tar now has an intense shimmer finish. The frosted bronze copper shade is perfect for when you need a little sparkle!
Both playful and chic, Madison Ave-Hue is a perfectly posh pink for day or night.
They’re Real! Mascara
They’re Real! Mascara lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates lashes like no other. The jet-black, long wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. Plus, a specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!
Eau Parfumee Au The Blanc Conditioner
Boasting a rich formula that contains extracts of rice and cotton, this gentle cream conditioner leaves hair lightly scented with BVLGARI’s caling Eau Parfumee au the blanc fragrance.
Based on the images above, it appears that the Essie nail polish and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar will both be full-size items!

Glossybox has released two sneak peeks for their upcoming August box, which should ship out a little later this month!
Sneak Peek 1: Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner – I believe this is a deluxe sample, but you all know how much I love eyeliner samples! I’m absolutely a wreck when it comes to using liquid eyeliner but these samples allow me to practice without splurging on a full-size product. (A few more years and I’m sure I’ll master it.)
Sneak Peek 2: Kryolan for Glossybox Highlighter – This is a full-size product that Glossybox worked with Kryolan to create! This product can be used on cheekbones, lips, or brow bones to create the perfect shimmery sheen. It has a retail value of $18.95.
After seeing these two products I have high hopes for the other three products that might be included in the August Glossybox!
Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that costs $21 per month. This box usually comes packed with five deluxe beauty samples, of which one or more products is usually full-price. The caliber of products is usually more high-end than what can be found in some of the other boxes.

I’d really been looking forward to receiving this month’s Glossybox thanks to the two sneak peeks they offered, and I definitely think the July Glossybox lived up to the hype! In addition to the promised Glamglow Youthmud and Skin Inc Serum, there were 3 other fabulous products included.
Here’s what I received in my July Glossybox
Mitchell and Peach Body Cream – I cannot say I know anything about this brand or product, but I am a new convert. Rarely do I say that body cream feels “luxurious” but I absolutely feel that way about this cream. I tried it out today and then did that thing (again) where I kept touching my skin after applying it. My skin just felt amazing, without that sticky feeling that I despise about so many body creams. Apparently this product contains “steam-distilled floral essential oils,” but I really felt like the scent was minimal, so much so that I didn’t think there was a scent at all.
The downside to subscription boxes? Falling in love with a product as I have this cream that’s a little out of my price range. A full size container costs $61! Time to start saving pennies.
Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment – This product is the number one reason I was excited to receive the July Glossybox, but Glossybox sent me a sample earlier in the month so I wasn’t quite as excited as I would have been otherwise. (Check out my Glamglow Youthmud review.) Don’t get me wrong – I’m still SO happy to have this product, and it’s still an awesome inclusion from a brand that I haven’t seen any other beauty boxes include yet. Because I’d already been excited about this product, however, it meant the body cream became my favorite “find” from the box.
It’s rare to see a Glossybox coupon, but they’re currently offering 20% off 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions!
This puts the boxes (regularly $21/month) as follows after the discount:
3 months: $48 ($16/box)
6 months: $92 ($15/box)
12 months: $176 ($14.60/box)
Glossybox Coupon: Use code “SUMMER14″ at checkout to receive 20% off a 3, 6, or 12 month Glossybox subscription. This coupon is valid only through July 24, 2014.
Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box. They’ve had a couple of really great months, including last month’s Stars & Stripes Box. The July Box will include cult-favorite Glamglow Youthmud (check out my Glamglow review) and a full-size Skin Inc Serum (worth $45). Those are the only sneak peeks they’ve provided, but I’m already happy with the July box!

Sometimes, when I’m really excited about something, I feel like a broken record. I feel like I’ve been talking non-stop about how much I’ve been wanting to try Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ever since Glossybox shared that this product would be included in the upcoming July box. This product receives rave reviews and has been on my to-try list for quite awhile. The problem? Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment is pretty expensive at $69 for a full-size container. That is way more than I’m willing to spend on an untested face mask.
Glossybox mailed some bloggers a sneak peek of the July Glossybox, and my package included a sample of Glamglow Youthmud, which, as you can imagine, pretty much made my week!
Having tried the product now, let me say: I finally get what all the fuss was about!
This mud mask leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body’s natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.
My thoughts, in no particular order:
- While I knew this was an exfoliating mask, I really wasn’t expecting the mask to be as gritty as it is. This shouldn’t be construed as a bad thing! You remove the mask by applying water in a circular motion, which helps exfoliate and clean.
- After I applied the product I noticed a cooling sensation. I was digging it, but after reading through some other reviews noticed that others didn’t like the “tingling” sensation as much as I did. This did not irritate my skin in any way. I thought it felt really good!
- The mask dries quickly. Just 10 minutes and you’re ready to go.
- There are some big flakes in the mask, which I didn’t understand. Is it mud? Grass? They basically just fell off my face, so I’m not sure what the purpose of that is.
After removing the mask, I noticed that my skin felt incredible. My skin is super sensitive so I rarely get facials (even “sensitive” facials tend to cause flare-ups), but after just 10 minutes with this mask applied I felt like I had received an hour-long facial. I was doing that thing where I kept touching my face because it just felt so amazingly soft and smooth.
According to the packaging, Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment can be used up to two times per week, but I likely won’t use it that often. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE this product, but I find that too much of good thing doesn’t usually work best for my skin. I will likely try to use this once every two weeks or so.
Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment costs $69 at Sephora.
If you receive Glossybox, you can expect to to receive a .5 oz. sample in the July box, just like the sample I posted above. Sephora also sells a .5 oz. sample that costs $19! If you’ve been wanting to try this product, your best bet is to get the July Glossybox, which costs $21. For $2 more, you’ll receive the Glamglow + four other products (including a full-size Skin Inc Serum that costs $45 retail)!
Glossybox is a monthly beauty box that costs $21 per month. If you’re interested in the Glamglow there is still time to subscribe to receive the July box and this product!
PLUS, this month with a new subscription to Glossybox you can receive a complimentary bottle Ciate nail polish ($15 value)! Use code “CIATE” at checkout. This offer is valid through July 31.
