Here’s What I Received in My July Glossybox

I’d really been looking forward to receiving this month’s Glossybox thanks to the two sneak peeks they offered, and I definitely think the July Glossybox lived up to the hype! In addition to the promised Glamglow Youthmud and Skin Inc Serum, there were 3 other fabulous products included.

Here’s what I received in my July Glossybox

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream – I cannot say I know anything about this brand or product, but I am a new convert. Rarely do I say that body cream feels “luxurious” but I absolutely feel that way about this cream. I tried it out today and then did that thing (again) where I kept touching my skin after applying it. My skin just felt amazing, without that sticky feeling that I despise about so many body creams. Apparently this product contains “steam-distilled floral essential oils,” but I really felt like the scent was minimal, so much so that I didn’t think there was a scent at all.

The downside to subscription boxes? Falling in love with a product as I have this cream that’s a little out of my price range. A full size container costs $61! Time to start saving pennies.

Glamglow Youthmud

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment – This product is the number one reason I was excited to receive the July Glossybox, but Glossybox sent me a sample earlier in the month so I wasn’t quite as excited as I would have been otherwise. (Check out my Glamglow Youthmud review.) Don’t get me wrong – I’m still SO happy to have this product, and it’s still an awesome inclusion from a brand that I haven’t seen any other beauty boxes include yet. Because I’d already been excited about this product, however, it meant the body cream became my favorite “find” from the box.

Beauty Reviewed: Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

Sometimes, when I’m really excited about something, I feel like a broken record. I feel like I’ve been talking non-stop about how much I’ve been wanting to try Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ever since Glossybox shared that this product would be included in the upcoming July box. This product receives rave reviews and has been on my to-try list for quite awhile. The problem? Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment is pretty expensive at $69 for a full-size container. That is way more than I’m willing to spend on an untested face mask.

Glossybox mailed some bloggers a sneak peek of the July Glossybox, and my package included a sample of Glamglow Youthmud, which, as you can imagine, pretty much made my week!

Having tried the product now, let me say: I finally get what all the fuss was about!

Product Description:

This mud mask leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body’s natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.

My thoughts, in no particular order:

  • While I knew this was an exfoliating mask, I really wasn’t expecting the mask to be as gritty as it is. This shouldn’t be construed as a bad thing! You remove the mask by applying water in a circular motion, which helps exfoliate and clean.
  • After I applied the product I noticed a cooling sensation. I was digging it, but after reading through some other reviews noticed that others didn’t like the “tingling” sensation as much as I did. This did not irritate my skin in any way. I thought it felt really good!
  • The mask dries quickly. Just 10 minutes and you’re ready to go.
  • There are some big flakes in the mask, which I didn’t understand. Is it mud? Grass? They basically just fell off my face, so I’m not sure what the purpose of that is.

After removing the mask, I noticed that my skin felt incredible. My skin is super sensitive so I rarely get facials (even “sensitive” facials tend to cause flare-ups), but after just 10 minutes with this mask applied I felt like I had received an hour-long facial. I was doing that thing where I kept touching my face because it just felt so amazingly soft and smooth.

According to the packaging, Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment can be used up to two times per week, but I likely won’t use it that often. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE this product, but I find that too much of good thing doesn’t usually work best for my skin. I will likely try to use this once every two weeks or so.

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment costs $69 at Sephora.

If you receive Glossybox, you can expect to to receive a .5 oz. sample in the July box, just like the sample I posted above. Sephora also sells a .5 oz. sample that costs $19! If you’ve been wanting to try this product, your best bet is to get the July Glossybox, which costs $21. For $2 more, you’ll receive the Glamglow + four other products (including a full-size Skin Inc Serum that costs $45 retail)!

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box that costs $21 per month. If you’re interested in the Glamglow there is still time to subscribe to receive the July box and this product!

PLUS, this month with a new subscription to Glossybox you can receive a complimentary bottle Ciate nail polish ($15 value)! Use code “CIATE” at checkout. This offer is valid through July 31.

What I Received in my June Glossybox

Stars and Stripes Glossybox

For the first time that I remember, Glossybox gave quite a few hints about what would be sent in the June Glossybox, starting with the gorgeous box that would contain this month’s products. I absolutely love the stars and strips box and it’s one that I will be holding onto for sure! OK, truth time: I hold onto ALL of the Glossybox boxes because they’re such a high quality and I usually pull them out at Christmas and use them as gift boxes!

Despite the clues about what would come in the June Glossybox I found that there were quite a few surprises! Here’s what I received in my June Glossybox:

C.Wonder Gift Card

C.Wonder Gift Card – According to the fine print this gift card could have had a value of up to $500! I tried mine and unfortunately it was only worth $10. Better than nothing… but not as awesome as that $500 would have been! :)

Sumita Beauty Champagne Eye Shadow Pencil

Sumita Beauty Champagne Eye Shadow Pencil ($18) – Full Size Product! I absolutely LOVE this eye shadow pencil! I really think it’s the perfect color. The color isn’t too bold, so it’s perfect for everyday wear, but it also has a fair amount of sparkle to it so you could really play it up with some crazy lashes and fun liner for a night on the town. I’ve received quite a fair Sumita products from the beauty subscription boxes, but this might be one of my favorites!

June Glossybox Preview: 2 Products That Will Come in Each Box!

This month, Glossybox is sharing a lot of details for what one can expect to find in the June Glossybox that will ship out later this month!

First they let us know that the theme would be Stars and Stripes and the box would come decorated in stars and stripes (see image below). Now, they’ve provided me with two sneak peeks of products that will come inside each June Glossybox!

Strange Beautiful Nail Polish

First up, there’s a two-pack of STRANGEBEAUTIFUL nail polish! Exclusively designed for GLOSSYBOX, this patriotically-inspired pairing is super fun!

Rusk Texture Dry Finishing Spray

The second item that will be included in the June Glossybox is Rusk Texture Dry Finishing Spray. This talc-free dry styling spray adds texture, shape and gripe for an instant boost on hot summer nights, while maintaining hair’s natural movement. Best of all? No white flakes or chalky residue! (No word on if this will be a deluxe sample or full-sized product, though I’m leaning toward the latter.)

So far, so good, right? I’m excited about both of these products and there should be at least 3 more products included in the box.

Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that costs $21 per month, and for that you will receive 5 deluxe beauty samples per month and that usually includes a full-size item or two.

June Glossybox

Glossybox Coupon: Don’t forget that if you haven’t yet subscribed to Glossybox you can enter code “HAIR” at checkout and you will also receive a free full-size bottle of Nioxin Diamax hair strengthener with your first box! This product has a $50 retail value, so it’s a nice freebie! (And even if you don’t need it, perhaps you know someone else who does?) This offer is valid through the end of the month.
