We rarely talk about the guys here, but the Topman suit and tuxedo sale currently taking place at Nordstrom is too good to ignore! Through April 25, select suits and tuxedos from the Topman line are marked down to $200 or less!
When my husband and I got married we asked that all of our groomsmen, along with my now-husband, purchase their matching khaki suits from Joseph A. Bank. We didn’t do this to be controlling but because it legitimately ended up being the cheapest way to dress our groomsmen. Since they could wear their own shoes and shirts, they each paid only about $100 for the suits! Anytime you can make things cheaper for those in your wedding parties I say to go for it – and a sale on suits and tuxes at Nordstrom is one way to possibly help out the men in your wedding party!
One quick word of warning: Almost all of the tuxes and suits in the Topman line are “skinny” or “slim,” so I’m assuming they’re probably not ideal for husky guys.
The Topman Skinny Fit Grey Suit normally costs $175, but right now it is on sale for $140. There is a note that those with an “athletic” build should order one size up. $140 isn’t a bad deal for a suit!
While the suit and tuxedo options are fairly limited, you never know what you might find! Also, this is a great promotion to check out for those guys that are in the market for separates!
Trends come and go but there are some items that will never go out of style, such as a nice pair of black pumps or a quality leather tote. While these items will always be classics and wardrobe staples, occasionally the styles cycle through until they become downright trendy again.
Such is currently the case with basic leather totes. Slouchy totes, leather totes, shopper totes… regardless of what you call it, basic leather and faux leather totes are having a moment right now!
I can’t say that I’m upset about this trend. I love large totes because I love carrying my entire life with me at all times. Also, while I love purchasing new handbags, I tend to stick with classic styles so I’ve got a few totes that I’ll be pulling out of my closet and carrying around this spring and summer.
If you’re in the market for a new bag be sure to check out some of these leather totes and faux leather totes. While some of the bags are incredibly affordable, a case could be made that all of them are money well-spent as these are bags you won’t need to clean out of your closet when the handbag trends change in favor of something new.
About once every year Nordstrom goes a little crazy (in a good way) and offers a huge selection of free gifts with the purchase of select beauty items. I think most of us here enjoy getting a little extra bang for our buck – and enjoy getting *free* beauty products – so offers like this are awesome because it allows you to get a little bit extra with your purchase, which is doubly awesome if you need to replenish a product you already use regularly!
Currently Nordstrom is offering 80+ free beauty gifts with purchase, and those free gifts are valued up to as much as $190! Some of the brands included in the promotion include La Mer, Clinique, Fresh, NARS, Laura Mercier, and many more!
The best way to see what’s available is obviously to check out the Nordstrom website, but some of my favorite free gift offers are below:

If you’ve been mourning the loss of availability of affordable Missoni items ever since the Missoni for Target collaboration came to a close a few years ago, this news should bring a smile to your face. The Converse x Missoni Collaboration has launched exclusively at Nordstrom and I was beyond surprised to find that all five pairs of chucks that are included in the collection cost less than $100. In fact, each pair costs less than $90!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has just gone live to everyone (and not just Nordstrom Card Holders) and there are so many great deals to be had! This is one of Nordstrom’s biggest promotions of the year and what makes this sale so special is that they’re marking down FALL fashions (as well as select home goods). While everyone else is trying to get rid of their summer clothing, Nordstrom is pre-emptively marking down the items you’ll want for this fall.
Next week we’ll take a deeper look at some of the items that can be purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but today I thought we’d take a specific look at some of the items that are available for less than $25.
Tis the season to treat yourself to new shoes. Actually, I say anytime is really. These Lou Skimmer Flat shoes are the perfect transition to fall and must find a way to my closest, STAT!
These Loeffler Randall beauties feature geniune calf hair and a leather lining and sole.
Normally I wouldn’t advocate for spending $295 on a pair of shoes, but when I look at these, I melt. I must own them. I could see myself getting plenty of wear out of them, can’t you?! Wear them to work, with jeans, around town- so many uses!
Available in sizes 5-10.
What do you think of the Lou Skimmer Flat? Would you treat yourself to a $295 pair of shoes?
