10 Best Bath Toys for Toddlers
Do you know what’s really gross? Attempting to clean mold out of a bath toy (or, really, any silicone toddler toy).Over time, the hot water and grime that builds up in those toys is likely to mold. In fact, Sophie the Giraffe, an incredibly popular baby toy, is having an issue with mold. It can be darn near next to impossible to clean some toys because there’s just no way to get inside of them.
Luckily that’s not an issue for the Marcus & Marcus Mold Free Silicone Squirting Submarine Bath Toy or another of our favorites, the Mold Free Rocket Ship Bath Toy because you can completely open up these toys to clean them as necessary. While these toys are budget-friendly, they’re also super high quality. In terms of toddler bath toys, Marcus & Marcus toys are as good as it gets. Kids will love playing with them, and especially squirting water out of them, and you’ll love that you have the option to clean them as necessary!
No matter how old your child gets, and regardless of how cool bath toys may get, rubber duckies will ALWAYS be a bath time staple. My son and I both love this Playgro Baby Bath Duckie Family. It’s adorable, and it’s also a 4-in-1 toy. My son loves attempting to line the ducks up in the tub, which is always followed by stacking the ducks. In addition to the fun he’s having, I like to think this bath toy is helping him work on his fine motor skills.
If you’ve got a little one who is really into cars, they’re going to love the Green Toys Ferry Boat with Mini Cars Bathtub Toy. The boat floats in the water, but then kids can drive the cars off the ramp. This toy is basically hours of fun packed into one small package. Also cool? These tub toys are made from 100% recycled plastic!
There are a lot of cool bath toys for toddlers, but I guarantee that your kid is going to love Yookidoo Bath Toys! Yookidoo bath toys are interactive and kids can spray water, stack the cups, create fountains and so much more. These toys will truly help kids foster their imaginations, but be warned: Kids will have so much fun that you’ll have to pry them out of their baths!
If you’re looking for a bath toy that does double duty, as in it’s both an awesome bath toy and serves as bath toy storage, look no further than the Skip Hop Moby Bath Scoop and Splash Toy Organizer. Kids can use it to play in the bath, but once it’s time to get out they (or you, which may be more likely) can use the scoop to quickly organize the bath toys.
Obviously, bath time is fun for children (of all ages). While there are tons of fun bath toys for toddlers that they’re sure to love, there aren’t many toys that will not only encourage them to have fun but also teach them physics at the same time.
That’s right. The Moluk Plui Rain Cloud Tub Toy fills with water, and kids can start and stop the water using their finger. This bath toy is guaranteed to peak your child’s curiosity and get them thinking, while you’ll be happy to know that this toy comes apart for easy cleaning.
If light up bath toys are what’s on your child’s wish list, the Fred KOI TOY Light-Up Bath Goldfish is a must-have! This bath toy lights up as soon as it hits the water and changes colors as it floats around the tub. The only downside to this particular toy is that the battery is irreplacable, so once the batter dies you’ll either need to replace the entire fish or have a non-glowing fish.
My son is all about the alphabet these days, so he was so excited when I brought home these Munchkin Bath Letters and Numbers. These are one of the best bath toys for toddlers who can’t get enough numbers or letters! We use them to spell out small words and/or to count how much longer he can stay in the bath. The numbers and letters themselves stick on the wall of the tub but are by no means permanent.
It doesn’t matter how much toddlers like something – they just don’t have much of an attention span! I love bath time because it keeps my son occupied and I can let my mind wander a bit. That’s why I fill the tub with a bunch of different bath toys that I know will keep him occupied. (Don’t worry, I’m always in there with him keeping an eye on the water!) Movement is always good, and so we have a few different wind-up bath toys, including a Munchkin Wind Up Swimming Penguin Bath Toy. The penguin swims all around the tub, which leads to my son laughing hysterically. I’m not sure why he loves this wind-up bath toy so much, but it’s a big hit in our house!
Finally, for interactive bathtime fun, I highly recommend getting a fishing set for the bath tub! There are a few different options available, but we have the Tolo Toys Funtime Fishing Bath Toy. The worm on the end of the fishing line is magnetic and it attracts the fish that float around the pool. I feel like this fun bath toys for toddlers set is making a fisherman out of my son!
