Racking your brain trying to think of what to get him for Father’s Day? Why not surprise him by helping him create the ultimate man cave for Father’s Day?!

I’m going to be honest with you. I hate the term “man cave.” First of all, we don’t have space in our house for a “man cave,” and second of all, if anyone is getting a “cave” in our house it’s going to be me so that I can hide from my kids when they’re going nuts.
My own desire for a secret space aside, I know that men love their caves. Men can be tough to shop for, which means that Father’s Day could be the perfect time to help them fix up their relaxation space. I was browsing around a new-to-me site, Monoprice, and found a few items I thought would make perfect gifts to help him create the ultimate man cave.
Here are a couple of suggestions that he’s sure to love and that will earn you and the kids serious bonus points.
How to Create the Ultimate Man Cave for Father’s Day
My husband really wants a second refrigerator to store his beer collection. Personally, I can’t fathom buying a second full-size fridge! I’ve been on the hunt for some sort of compromise and this Strata Home 2-in-1 Wine and Beverage Cooler looks perfect! The top part holds 8 bottles of wine and the bottom holds refrigerated drinks and snacks. The two spaces have their own thermostats to help ensure the items are kept at the perfect temperature. Not only is it handy, but its sleek look will blend right into so many different interiors!
I know this post is supposed to be about helping him create the perfect man cave for Father’s Day, but I just want to chime in here and express how much I want a Smart TV! Our TV is fine, but it’s 10 years old. I’m crazy for these TVs that are full entertainment systems. They’re just as great for the family room as they are the man cave. Whether he wants to watch stupid YouTube videos or Breaking Bad, a TV like this VIZIO 43″ Ultra HD LED Smart TV will keep him busy for
We have a couple of friends who are REALLY into their Google Home system, and every time we visit they try to convince us that we need to invest in one. They use their Google Home to turn on their TV and change the channels or to play music, turn the lights on and off, or even to ask silly questions instead of looking them up manually on Wikipedia. Google Home would make a fantastic addition to a man cave. Just think: He could learn so much without ever moving from the couch!
Let’s be honest: All dads would love to receive a Smart TV for Father’s Day. Even if they just bought a new TV last week, a second TV will be readily accepted because it will double the number of sporting events that can be watched at one time. But, one thing he probably wouldn’t be expecting is a set of in-ceiling speakers. They’ll help him really get into his movie, TV show, or music.
A Monolith Turntable would be the ultimate addition to a man cave. He could watch his awesome TV, talk to Google to his heart’s content, and then pretend to be cooler than he probably is by spinning tunes on the turntable.
Since purchasing our own home, I’ve become a bit of a nut about turning off electronics/lights/etc. Why waste money and energy?! I’ve begun investing in light timers and smart plugs to help manage things like this because you can check from your phone whether electronics or lights are still on when you’re not home. The Z-Wave Plus Smart Plug has two USB ports and will also be able to tell you how much energy your appliances are using.
Any of these items from Monoprice will go a long way to helping him create the ultimate man cave of his dreams. Help him set up the room for Father’s Day and then send the kids down to veg with him while you take the day off. After all, Father’s Day is all about being a dad so he should spend the day enjoying his kids! Sounds perfect, right? Enjoy your day off! 😉
