I am sorry to see summer come to an end if for no other reason than Wantable has sent out some truly amazing boxes this summer that I hope continue into the fall!
The August Wantable Box was no different, in fact, it might be my favorite box yet! (This despite the fact that I received a product not actually intended for me.)
Here’s what I received in my August Wantable Box:
Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Blush Palette ($45) – This might just be my favorite full-size beauty product I’ve ever received in any subscription box. Whenever I need to purchase cosmetic products, blush is the furthest thing from my mind. In fact, I think the only blush I’ve ever purchased is Hot Mama from theBalm. Needless to say, I’ve never spent much time trying out new blushes or finding something I love other than Hot Mama. Thanks to this awesome palette I’ll finally get the chance to do so and my fingers are crossed that I love one of these four colors (or, even better, ALL of them)!
Also awesome? The cost of this one product covered the cost of the box!
Geri G. Innocent Foundation ($38) – When I opened up my box I was a little confused by the inclusion of this product. Wantable has never sent any type of foundation product before, and it seems like such a personal item since it’s based so much on skin tone. As you can see, the one I received doesn’t come anywhere close to matching my skin color!
As I was sitting down to write this review I finally looked at the product list that was sent with the box and it appears that my receiving this foundation was actually a mistake. Whoops! I should have received La Dolce Vita Lash Tips (mascara!), but the foundation wound up in my box instead. I’ll contact Wantable about perhaps doing a switch.
Glam Natural Lip Cream in Love Affair ($20) – I haven’t yet tried this lip product, but I do love the color! Wantable has sent a lot of red lip products, but this pink color is more what I would naturally gravitate toward. Apparently this product is made without harmful ingredients and is shea butter-based, which means it should be very moisturizing!
Ofra 3-D Loose Shadow ($20) – I am really excited about this shadow! Sorry I took a photo of the ugly underside of the packaging but it was really the only way I could show you what was inside. While the color is apparently light brown, it definitely looks more like an iridescent peacock blue/green to me. During the fall and winter I have a purple shadow from MAC that I love to use, and I think this is going to look fabulous paired with that.
Overall: I know there was a goof with my box, but that said this might actually be one of my favorite boxes I’ve ever received from Wantable! I’m going to put the blush palette and the eyeshadow to very good use over the coming months, and the lip product won’t go to waste either. I don’t anticipate switching out the foundation to be a problem either, since I’ve found that Wantable has great customer service.
