Bestowed Box - October 2014

Bestowed Box is one of those subscription boxes that I only pick up here-and-there and this is one of the “there” months. Bestowed is a healthy living/nutrition box that sends out new snack, food and lifestyle products each month. I wasn’t thrilled with the box I received a couple of months ago, but the October box was pretty fantastic (and all items included are GMO free)!

2014-10-21 14.18.18

Hooray Spinach Purée – Full size product! I guess you could say I’m a little like a child in that I prefer my vegetables be masked by other food. One of the main ways I do this is by adding vegetables to pasta sauce, and I’m going to add this spinach purée to tonight’s pasta dish. Each package of purée contains 4 full servings of vegetables, which is pretty great. According to the documentation sent in the box, this purée can also be used as an oil substitute in baked goods! I see some spinach brownies in my future!

Peeled Snacks Cinnamon Apple Clusters

Peeled Snacks Cinnamon Apple Clusters – Full size product! I’ve tried the dehydrated fruit from Peeled before, but I didn’t know they’d extended their product line to include other snacks. They’re still super healthy though at 75 calories per serving!

Fiber Love

Fiber Bar (cinnamon raison & peanut chocolate chip) – I’m completely drawing a blank on whether I’ve tried Fiber Love bars before, but I just ate the Peanut Chocolate Chip Fiber Love Bar and it was pretty tasty. It reminded me a lot of a Luna Bar, but with even more fiber.

Little Miracles

Little Miracles – Full size product! This is an organic energy drink that’s verified USDA organic. It contains a blend of organic tea, super fruit juice and ginseng. Bestowed recommends drinking it in place of coffee or between lunch and dinner. I’m probably going to skip trying this one because ginseng makes me jittery, but I love the idea of an organic energy drink.

Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers

Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers – I don’t have much to say about these but they look tasty!

Numi Tea Indulgent Chocolate Tea Sampler

Numi Tea Indulgent Chocolate Tea Sampler – While only one is pictured here, I received two packets of this chocolate tea. I know it sounds bizarre, but I received a sample of this awhile back and this tea is actually surprisingly delicious and it makes a great replacement for dessert. In fact, I think I’m going to brew a packet now. 🙂

Sugar-Free Glee Gum

Sugar-Free Glee Gum – Glee Gum is both sugar- and aspartame-free. It’s not my favorite, honestly, but it works in a pinch.

Overall: I think this is a pretty good box from Bestowed! I’m really excited about the Hooray Purée and the Peeled Snacks… and the chocolate tea that I’m going to brew for myself as soon as I put the “publish” button on this post.
