Spotted on Etsy: Dreaming of Travel

It’s currently 0 degrees outside and the only thing getting me through this patch of frigid weather is dreaming of vacation, although, to be honest, I’m always dreaming of vacation regardless of what the temperature may be outside. There’s really nothing I enjoy more than getting out and seeing a new part of the world, be it local or somewhere far away. To me there’s just nothing better than seeing something new, meeting new people, trying new foods and wandering new streets.

Some people use the motto “work hard, party hard,” but it’s fair to say that my husband and I work hard to vacation. It’s hard for my husband to take much time off of work but we try to go on one week-long trip each year as well as the occasional long-weekend trip if we can swing it.┬áThis coming June we will be spending 10 days exploring New England, including Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, as well as Montreal, which are all places we haven’t been before. I am SO excited and if you have any recommendations I’d love to hear them.

Since I’m in vacation-planning mode and can’t stop thinking about getting away, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite travel-related Etsy finds just in case any of you have the travel bug, too!

Adventure Awaits Mug from Wild & Free Designs

Adventure Awaits Mug from Wild & Free Designs – $20

I was up working on something at 2 a.m. this morning and I couldn’t stop myself from purchasing this mug. It’s a good thing I absolutely love it because I obviously have spending control issues in the middle of the night. čśë But honestly, this hand-lettered mug makes me so happy. I can’t wait until mine arrives!

As Soon As I Saw You Wood Sign

As Soon As I Saw You Wood Sign from House of Belonging – $160

I am very much obsessed with everything at House of Belonging and it’s one of the Etsy shops I find myself returning to time and again to check out what’s new. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I will be getting one of their large adventure/travel-themed signs for our house… once we finally buy one, that is.

What a Wonderful World Tee from Plucky Mustard

What a Wonderful World Tee from Plucky Mustard – $23

Somehow my son is going to turn one in just over a month and I spent some time last week searching for a first birthday shirt for him. During said search I came across Plucky Mustard and immediately “favorited” every item in their shop. If I could have I would have double liked this tee, which I absolutely positively love and which will make its way to my son soon enough. (Probably before our next trip.) This tee also matches our favorite book, What a Wonderful World, which I highly recommend if you are looking for a great gift for a little person!

Chalkboard United States Map

Chalkboard United States Map from Dirtsa Studio – $85

One of our goals as parents is to take our son to all 50 states. He’s off to a good start and I’d love something like this map to mark off where we visit.

Travel Journal with Pockets and Envelopes

Travel Journals with Pockets and Envelopes from Free Range Bookbinding – $40

How neat is this journal, which contains paper for you to record memories or affix photos, as well as pockets and envelopes to easily save items from the trip.

Let's Go Everywhere Keychain

Let’s Go Everywhere Keychain from Charming Sarabella – $18

I have been looking for a new keychain and I think this might be the winner. My husband would definitely agree that it’s my mentality and I think it would be a great gift for anyone with a case of wanderlust!
