We love reading Christmas books in our family! Here are 18 Christmas books for kids that you and your own kids are sure to love! We make it a point to read to the twins every day. I even bought…
Don’t worry if you’ve missed the boat on shopping. We’ve got you covered with these 15 last minute gift ideas, and yes, they’re actually things people will want!
We’ve just about made it to Christmas and I’ve gotta tell you: I’m pooped! This has been one of the craziest holiday shopping seasons in recent history! There have been sales upon sales upon sales. And then, when I thought there couldn’t be any more sales or coupons, well, there were more.
This is the home stretch though and if you’ve got shopping left to do at this point then you are most likely planning on heading out to the stores to do it in-person. Or, perhaps you’re going to buy online and pick up in-store, which is another great option! If you’re still committed to shopping online, however, here are 15 last minute gift ideas that can still be purchased and sent to your recipients without them ever having a clue that the gift *might* be a last minute purchase!
15 Last Minute Gift Ideas
Sending Kindle Books as a gift – you can even pre-schedule delivery so that they “arrive†on Christmas morning – couldn’t be easier or more thoughtful (assuming your recipient is a book lover). If you’re unsure what book to send, consider sending the recipient YOUR favorite book.
Another great option for your favorite book lover? A subscription to Kindle Unlimited, which costs $9.99 per month and includes access to more than 700,000 Kindle books!
Vouchers from Deal Sites
Sites like Rue La La, Gilt City, Groupon, and Living Social offer discount vouchers that can be redeemed at various stores. For instance, one of my absolute favorites that pops up on Gilt City from time to time is $25 for $50 at Vosges Haut-Chocolat. $50 worth of chocolate? Yes, please!
If time is short, check out these sites to see if they have any giftable vouchers available. I promise you that the recipient will love being able to go on a mini shopping spree!
 Subscription Boxes
Was there any doubt that subscription boxes would make this list?! There are so many box options available that you’re sure to find something for someone on your list and the best part is that nearly every box is available as a one-time thing, or in 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions.
Some of my recommendations include:
- PopSugar Must Have Box -for any woman
- Hammock Pack -for any woman needing a vacation
- MunchPak – for anyone wanting to try treats from around the world (check out my MunchPak review)
- Bark Box – for those with dog children
Personal Styling Services
For your favorite fashionista (or fashionisto… what’s the word for men?!) there are personal styling sites like Stitch Fix (check out our Stitch Fix review) or Le Tote (check out our Le Tote review) for women and Trunk Club, which now offers options for women and for men. A box from any of these sites will contain a selection of clothing items tailored to the recipient’s taste.
I can hardly believe it but we are quickly heading into the holiday shopping season, which means the highly anticipated list of Amazon’s Top 100 Toys for 2017 has been released.
In many ways it feels like the year has just started, and yet here we are heading toward the end of 2017 and right into the craziest and most exciting time of the year. I love the holiday shopping season and not just because I’m a shopping blogger. I love seeing holiday decorations pop up in the stores and thinking about the perfect gift for my friends and family. This year is going to be especially fun at my house because my son will finally be old enough to enjoy Christmas. As such, this was the first year I really enjoyed looking through Amazon’s Top 100 Toys for 2017.
Whether you’re shopping for babies or older kids, Amazon’s toy list has items for everyone. While more traditional toys, like Barbie and LEGO, make many appearances on the list, I was pleasantly surprised to see a few different coding toys. (Yeah, STEM!) Robots for all ages are also popular, as are more traditional board games.
Want a rundown of everything the kids in your life are going to ask for this holiday season? Keep reading!
Amazon’s Top Toys for 2017
This toy is my daughter’s absolute favorite! It’s great for little ones practicing hand-eye coordination, grasping, and it’s an amazing teether.
Hape’s wooden toys are a must in our house. The quality is great, and they’re an antidote to the large number of electronic toys on the market these days.
The basket plays music and the food items will help teach kids motor skills as they sort, stack, and more. Plus, what’s better than a play picnic?!
We are just getting into Play Doh at our house, and I couldn’t be happier. it’s one of my favorite things from childhood. Something tells me I will eventually be purchasing this mega pack for
myself my son.
I will be the first to admit that I have a book-buying problem, especially when it comes to my son. I mean, is there any such thing as too many books? Well, in our case, probably yes.
I have a remarkable amount of willpower when it comes to buying most things. As a shopping blogger, I’m basically looking at stuff all day long.
But when it comes to children’s books? All bets are off. I’ll buy them with my trusty Amazon Prime account and think, “eh, a $6 book isn’t really much of a purchase, is it?”
I stand by that… except for the stacks of books that are currently in my son’s room. Oops.
Anyhow, my current obsession is Christmas board books. I thought I’d buy my son one new Christmas book this year, and, well, that’s expanded a bit. But how can I resist when the Christmas board books are so cute?! I mean, The Night Before Christmas Board Book? Must have! We love the Stinky Face series, so of course, we had to get Merry Christmas, Stinky Face. Dear Zoo is also one of our favorite books, so Dear Santa was a must-get.
Yes, my name is Lisa and I have an obsession with Christmas Board Books.
Regardless, if you’re looking for a fun and mostly indestructible gift for a little on your list, I recommend any of the books below!

I’m bundled up in front of the fire enjoying the holidays, and I hope you all are too! Since I don’t have to work or do much of anything today, I thought it would be a great time to show you my favorite Etsy Christmas finds.
If your order now, most of these items will still be able to reach you before December 25, but be sure to check each individual vendor’s holiday ship-by dates.
Have Yourself an Etsy Christmas
I can’t say Merry Christmas without wanting to follow it up by adding, “ya filthy animal!” This shirt from Jones Co Creations ($23.29) is super cute, but there’s no shortage of shirts and accessories sporting this popular phrase!
I think this Christmas Stamp from Letter and Adore ($18) would be adorable for stamping the outside of Christmas card envelopes!. Of course, I think about this now… after all of my cards have been mailed out already. Sigh. Remind me to do this next year, OK?! With the cards already gone, however, I do love this idea of using the stamp to make DIY holiday tags!
I had no intention of dressing the twins in anything special for the holidays until I saw these shirts and onesies. They are too cute! I especially love the "Too Cute for The Naughty List" one. They are 18 months…
I'm on the hunt for a few baby's first Christmas onesies. The hardest part is narrowing the choices down! Luckily the twins provide me with lots of moments for costume changes, so getting a few isn't such a bad idea.…
