Spotted on Etsy: SweetAmbs Sugar Cookies
Years ago, SweetAmbs was one of the first shops I found on Etsy. I couldn’t stop going back to stare at Amber Spiegel’s beautiful cookies. The cookies were even more delicious than they looked, too! Unfortunately, Amber no longer sells her treats on Etsy, but I thought this post from August of 2009 would be a fun look back before she made it big! Now, you can find Amber on her own blog where she shares cooking-making tips, making addictive-to-watch cooking-making videos, and teaching cookie-making classes on Craftsy.
You want to know what happened when I first found SweetAmbs’ beautiful sugar cookies? I gasped. Literally. Never, ever, in my whole life, had I seen cookies more beautiful than those made by SweetAmbs owner Amber Spiegel.
I dare you to find me a cookie that’s more beautifully decorated than this one, the Brown and Pink Brush Embroidery Cookie:
That lovely cookie isn’t made in a factory. Amber decorates these cookies by hand!
Ready for another?
How about these Cookies Inspired by Wedgwood:
When I first saw these lovely mongrammed cookies, all I could think about was having a tea party. Or an engagement party. Or a baby shower. Wouldn’t these be a lovely treat? (Each cookie comes individually sealed, making it the perfect gift!)
Seriously, these cookies look almost too good to eat.
So, let’s look at another, shall we?
Can you even believe these are cookies? I certainly can’t. These are the Spring Basket Cookies.
I don’t recall ever getting so excited about cookies. But how can one not get excited about these pieces of art?
SweetAmbs Cookie-Decorating Classes
Amber is no longer selling her cookies, but she is now making it easier for all of us to make our own fancy cookies! You can find her tutorials all over Youtube and Facebook, but she is also teaching a couple of classes via Craftsy!
