We are pretty excited in our house because college football is right around the corner! Admittedly, I haven’t always been the biggest college football fan. I attended the University of Michigan – a legendary football powerhouse – but when I enrolled at the school I didn’t even know they had a football team and the only year I had season tickets was my senior year. My husband, however, is a die-hard, and over the past decade, we have only missed one or two games.
We don’t go to very many games anymore, but inevitably any game we do attend also includes attending a college football tailgate. What’s not to love about a tailgate as you prepare to root on your favorite team? You get to spend an afternoon (or morning) among friends, drinking, grilling, and reminiscing about college football days of yore and how THIS is the year you’re going to win it all.
I’m sure plenty of you are planning on attending a college football tailgate or two this year and, if you count yourself among those numbers, here are some awesome items that are sure to make the day that much better.
Note: As I attended Michigan, many of the items featured below are for my alma mater. All of the non-Michigan fans out there will be happy to know that most, if not all, items are available for other universities as well! 😉

If a couple chooses to have an outdoor wedding they typically choose the date so far in advance that they have no clue what the weather forecast will look like on any given day. My husband and I chose to have an outdoor wedding in July in Michigan and assumed that the temperature would probably over somewhere near 80 degrees, which is typical for the region. The only concern we had was whether or not it would rain. Things got a little iffy the day before our wedding, however, when the temperatures reached a record 106, which even resulted in a couple of our guests deciding not to attend at all. Luckily for us, the temps came down 20 degrees overnight, and 86 seemed downright balmy compared to  the previous day.
Summer is one thing, but planning an outdoor fall wedding can be even trickier. It might be an unseasonably cool fall or perhaps it’s unseasonably hot. It can rain on a dime or just be generally blustery. There are a lot of weather conditions the bride and groom need to plan for with an outdoor fall wedding, and their wedding guests also need to keep weather in mind when choosing what to wear.
If you’ve got a wedding coming up this fall, check out these 12 dresses that are perfect to wear to an outdoor fall wedding.

This type of dress is my absolute favorite because it can be worn so many different ways. Wear it bare-legged or with tights and a pair of pumps. Pair it with leggings and boots. As the weather changes, so does my closest. I pull all of my fall and winter clothes out of my spare room to transition them in. During that time I like to go through, what I call, an update. So…
