I feel like I start every article I write about plus size clothing in the same manner. I usually gush about how the plus size landscape has changed so much since I started blogging. I can't help it, though, because it's true. There used to be only a handful of stores that sold plus size clothing, and most of those styles were boring. Now, though, there are so many different options from which to choose and they're all selling fun stylish clothing.

Floral Ruffle Dress  // Skinny Plait Belt – c/o Simply Be
One of the stores I've had my eye on for a while now is Simply Be. This store focuses on fashion for women wearing sizes 8-28. Their clothes are well-made, fashion forward, and budget-friendly. Those aren't three adjectives that typically go together, but that's exactly what you'll find here.
I've been trying to get a little more adventurous with my typical all-black wardrobe. For instance, a floral dress for fall is completely outside of my wheelhouse, but when I saw this Floral Ruffle Dress at Simply Be, I knew I wanted to give it a shot.
When we were in northern Michigan, I decided to do a little photo shoot at the cabin where we stayed because this floral dress seemed like it was made for the country. While the getaway (and photo shoot) in the country was fun, I live more of an urban life, so here in the city, I'll likely jazz the dress up with some fun black booties and a leather moto jacket.
While I was afraid to try a floral print out of fear it would look like a nightgown, I absolutely love this dress. The fit is perfect. The color is lovely. The dress is anything but boring and it can be worn anywhere from brunch to date night to a baby shower to a wedding.
In addition to an incredible selection of plus size dresses (seriously, they have 1,200+ dresses!), Simply Be has plenty of more casual clothing as well. With fall just around the corner, I was in search of a sweater that would serve multiple purposes. I wanted to be able to wear it around the house, but also throw it on in place of a jacket when I needed to run errands or take my son to preschool.

Checked Brushed Cardigan – c/o Simply Be
The Checked Brush Cardigan fit the bill perfectly. The sweater feels like you're wrapping yourself in a giant blanket but is still stylish enough to be worn out of the house. In fact, according to Elle, plaid is in for fall 2017! I guarantee you that I will probably wear this sweater on a near-constant basis this fall and winter. Aside from the comfort level and its apparent trendiness, one of my favorite aspects of this sweater is the fact that it has pockets! Pockets mean I don't necessarily need to carry a purse if I'm running errands, and it's a great place to store my phone when I'm just schlubbing around the house.
If you're shopping for plus size womens clothing this fall, I highly recommend adding Simply Be to your list of stores to check out. I have a feeling you're going to love what you find!
