If you've been pregnant before, then there's a good chance you know that maternity apparel can be a real drag. I mean, so much of it is so dowdy that it's just not all that much fun to get dressed. On the other hand, I think pregnancy gives you a pass to only purchase a few true maternity items that you rotate constantly through your wardrobe. A couple of pairs of pants, a couple of tops, and a dress or two can get you pretty far and that's certainly what I did with my first pregnancy. I kept my maternity wardrobe to the bare minimum. That all changed with this pregnancy, however, when I discovered Pink Blush.
Believe it or not, despite this being a shopping blog and all, I manage to keep my personal shopping down to a minimum for the most part. It helps that I work from home and live in yoga pants, so I really don't do too much shopping for new clothing unless I have an event or a vacation on the horizon. But with this pregnancy, I have been unable to stop myself from doing a little bit too much impulse shopping at Pink Blush. Their styles are just that cute and the plus size maternity and traditional size maternity options are incredibly plentiful!
Pink Blush was kind enough to send me the Black Floral Sash Tie Maternity Maxi Dress ($65), and I have to tell you that I am absolutely in love with this dress. I don't wear many floral prints and I don't wear many maxi dresses, but everything just came together perfectly with this dress. The black floral print looks classic and isn't too over-the-top florally, I don't think.
The faux wrap and v-neckline help make the cut of the dress super flattering, and the material just falls perfectly over the baby bump. The v-neck is also adjustable, so you can pull it up if you prefer a more modest cut. The v-neck also makes for easy access to the … milk supply … for moms that choose to breastfeed after the baby is born!
There's plenty of extra fabric in the skirt, too, which will give you room to breathe and move, but will also look great should you decide to hit the dance floor (or just stand outside when it's windy).
While I'm not a huge fan of maternity apparel, in general, I absolutely love this dress. It makes me feel like a million bucks. It would be a great option to wear to a spring baby shower or a cocktail party or to wear to the office.
In my heart, I will always be fairly frugal so in addition to being one of the only stores where I've found seriously cute plus size maternity apparel online, the prices at Pink Blush are by no means outrageous. I don't think I've seen anything that costs over $100, and nearly everything costs far less than $75. (Pro tip: Keep an eye on the site, as they frequently offer coupons, especially, it seems, over weekends!) Additionally, I love Pink Blush because almost all of their styles will easily transition to post-partum life. While this plus size maternity maxi dress fit over my baby bump quite easily, there's nothing that screams maternity about the dress so I'll be able to wear it long after the baby arrives. And that's the case for the other items I've purchased from the store, too. This site seriously makes me want to buy everything because the maternity clothes from Pink Blush are the only ones I've found that make me feel even remotely cute.
I'm pretty sure this Black Lace Accent Maternity Tunic ($38) is going to find its way into my closet before the end of this pregnancy. This top pretty much definites my everyday style and I know I'd wear it long after baby arrives!
I think I need this Black Chevron Maternity Dress ($55), too, which will look cute now with leggings or which can be worn bare-legged (obviously) once it warms up a bit.
Finally, I also think I'm going to have to get this plus size maternity robe ($39). We had some photos taken at the hospital when my son was born, but I was just wearing a black hoodie. This time around, if we choose to get photos taken, I'd like to wear something a little cuter and this maternity robe fits the bill perfectly!
While I've really only highlighted plus size maternity styles here, Pink Blush carries just as many – if not more – maternity options in traditional sizes. I'm talking hundreds of styles, most of which you won't see anywhere else.
If you're looking for cute maternity clothing, I really cannot recommend Pink Blush enough.
